Rolex introduced the original Datejust in 1945 to celebrate the company's 40th anniversary. Due to the enormous success, Rolex released the first Lady-Datejust in 1957.

This Rolex Datejust 'Blue Vignette Diamond Dial - Jubilee' was sold for the first time in December 1986.

This Datejust is made out of a combination of 18k Yellow Gold and stainless steel and is fitted with a Jubilee bracelet. It is fitted with a 'Blue Vignette Diamond Dial' which is equipped with 10 diamonds. The 'Blue Vignette Dial' featured a colour transformation from Blue to Black. This dial is fitted with original tritium hour marks and hands.
